At 25 years old, CJ is the oldest of twins. He has a sister Lila and a younger sister, Courtney, who is 23.. He was raised in a single mother household with the unyielding commitment and support of his mother's side of the family. He grew up an avid writer, musician, and creator.
HIS YOUNGER YEARS
While growing up, CJ was very popular. He enjoyed his friends and travel. He attended Camp Atwater, played the Saxaphone, AAU Basketball, and was raised in Bala Cynwyd, PA where he played Varsity Basketball for Lower Merion High School. He was a high achiever and his dream from childhood was to become a Doctor.
CJ turned down his Harvard interview, and opted out of basketball scholarships for Syracuse. He started The General Body, led a campus sit in for divesting, an environmental march in NYC and the protest to save the Campus Rape Crisis Center, He completed an internship at Upstate Medical Center, graduating with honors.
CJ was absolutely ecstatic about getting the opportunity to share his world views on a TEDx Talk Stage and delivered quite a compelling account through transparency and honesty to a captivated audience.
After completing his Kaplan Course, taking the MCATs and making application to Medical Schools, CJ turned down the opportunity for PostBac work at Georgetown to move to Thailand to study Eastern Medicine and Food Sustainability where he lived and worked on Mindful Farms.
Upon his return from Thailand, CJ settled in the Los Angeles, California area to begin his teaching and healing work through activism and service. His first act of service after college was being on the front lines of Standing Rock. At the time of his incident, he was conducting healing workshops, and taking new roads to great things!
